FAQ

How Long does a van build take?

All our builds are unique and for that reason it is difficult to be exact, on average our builds take 12-18 weeks which includes a 2 week testing period to ensure every aspect of the build is fully checked and rigorously tested, we also arrange the habitation check, gas safety check and vehicle weight report during this time. Sometimes delays happen, usually because of parts supply and delivery times but sometimes its because we take longer on an aspect of the build in order to get it just right - we will always update our clients immediately with any changes to the build time.

How much does a full camper build cost?

Each commission is priced individually based on our clients design brief and criteria, when it comes to standard facilities such as the gas, electricity and water systems we use market leading products, therefore our prices offer a competitive balance between functionality, high specification and our unique hand built style.

Do you have any build slots available?

We have just recently finished kitting out Live Slow Campers HQ after moving to our shiny new premises during the summer. We are now taking bookings for Feb 2022 onwards, please get in touch here

What brands do you work with?

We are always looking to improve the standard specification of our builds, keeping up to date with the latest technology and new products to market.  Brands we work with include Victron, Leoch, Dometic, Vitrifrigo, CAK, OSMO, Inlander, LG and Truma.

Can you source a base vehicle for our camper build?

Usually our clients source and supply the base vehicle, we are always happy to offer advice and a second opinion but we do feel it is important for our clients to fully own the purchase of the base vehicle in order to build a relationship for future contact with the seller/dealership.

How much do you conversions weigh?

Our LWB conversions weigh between 760kg and 890kg.

Do you sell completed van builds?

We are always looking for ways to improve our work and establish new ideas. In order to make this possible we complete 'one off' builds in between our client build slots to allow us to test new ideas and products. We either keep these builds for us or sometimes sell them as special additions for a discounted price. We are currently working on one right now which might go on sale later this year.

Do you only convert panel vans?

No, since we opened in 2019 we have completed builds on a variety of vehicles from large panel vans to small micro campers. Please check out our previous builds here.  Unfortunately our new workshop only has an access height of 3.7 meters (12ft) so can't fit in any super high panel vans or luton vans.
